We won two awards at the 2019 Northern Digital Awards!

Last year we were shortlisted for a flurry of awards, including the MPAs, the UK Social Media Communications Awards, the UK Agency Awards, the European Search Awards, the Big Chip Awards, and most recently the Northern Digital Awards.

Knowing the sheer calibre of the judges and how tough the process  and competition is we celebrate shortlists in their own right. However, we were still searching for a competition beating moment, and yesterday at the 2019 Northern Digital Awards that moment came!

We’re incredibly proud to announce that we have won the Best Use of Social Media and Best Small Digital Agency awards at the 2019 Northern Digital Awards!

We’re delighted and incredibly grateful that our hard work has been recognised by our industry peers.


Best Use of Social Media

he first award we won on the night was Best Use of Social Media. This award means a lot for our CEO & Founder, Ned Poulter.

Ned has become somewhat of a celebrity in the field of Paid Social over the last 5+ years. In that time he has spoken about Paid Social at a variety of international conferences including Search LeedsSearchEliteBrightonSEOUngagged Vegas, and InOrbit in Slovenia. He has also been the sole provider of Paid Social Media training at BrightonSEO for the last 3+ years.

Our awards entry was titled Pole Star Digital & Patient Claim Line – Validating Social Medias ‘Seat at the Table’, Smashing Expectations for Lead Generation and outlined the great work we have achieved through the collaboration with our client Patient Claim Line and their parent company, Fletchers Solicitors.

It was – naturally – a very competitive category and hard fought victory against some incredibly well-known brands, such as: Co-Op, Wren Kitchens, and Sky Bet.


Best Small Digital Agency

The second award we won was Best Small Digital Agency! In the grand scheme of things, as we’re such a young company. Pole Star Digital was originally founded in 2015 in very humble beginnings. Ned Poulter (CEO & Founder) started out of an outhouse in the Cotswolds, working, sleeping, and eating in one self-contained room for the first year! Since then, Pole Star Digital has come on from strength-to-strength, and while we have the numbers to back it up, being recognised by such an esteemed panel of judges made it all that more emotional special.

In the relatively short time Pole Star Digital has been going, we’ve achieved so much and evolved significantly, fine-tuning every part our business, from our operations, services, clients, to our culture.

Here at Pole Star Digital we intentionally strive to do things differently. We made the conscious decision to build a digital marketing consultancy, to challenge the traditional siloed agency approach.

Collaboration is key to our success. Our best work has come about from from the strong relationships we forge with clients, and how invested we are in the success of their business.


What Next for Pole Star Digital?


We’re hoping to use the award win as a springboard onto future award entries, taking the opportunity to set our work against competitors, because we truly believe our approach and our values produce award-worthy recognition.

Otherwise, we wouldn’t be doing it, would we? 😉
